Brexit and the Global Challenge of Economic Populism

Can Brexit and the global spread of economic populism have impact on the future for all citizens of the world?

The UF College of Journalism and Communications (CJC) and Center for European Studies (CES) invite everyone in Gainesville to journey through an exploration of this question and discover insights about this curious global challenge and what we can do about it.

Presenters: Klaus Botzet, Minister-Counsellor, Head of the Political, Security and Development Section, European Union; Monika Machon, JD, former Treasurer AIG (American International Group), former CEO and Head of Fixed Income for AIG Asset Management Europe Limited, with business oversight of Compliance, Finance and Human Resources, and former Dean for the AIG Women’s Executive Leadership Institute; Dr. Elias Dinopoulos, Professor, Department of Economics, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, University of Florida

Moderator: Dr. Amie Kreppel, Jean Monnet Chair, Director, Center for European Studies, and Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, University of Florida.
