This lecture will provide an insight into the diverse approaches to energy-efficient and climate-change-resilient architecture within the European Union, with a focus on Germany. It will address EU policies and incentives that aim at regulating, promoting, and controlling sustainable architecture, and discusses how these are beneficial to or conflicting with national goals. Support from this speaker comes from the European Commission’s Jean Monet Chair grant and the UF School of Architecture.
