Erasmus+ Programme – Summer Exchange in Eastern Europe
Erasmus + Programme Award Announcement
To the attention of graduate students with interests in Eastern Europe, it’s politics, culture, history and current affairs, the post-socialist space, or the EU. Under the auspices of the European Commission’ Erasmus + Programme an academic exchange between the UF and Sofia University in Sofia (Bulgaria) is open to UF graduate students in the Humanities and Social Sciences (Summer 2016).
This summer research program, combines studies and travel, hosted by the Sofia University’s Jean Monnet Network in Bulgaria. The exchange offers participating in all of the research activities and seminars of the Jean Monnet Network on European Identity, Culture, Exchanges and Multilingualism (EUROME). In particular, students are encouraged to join a doctoral seminar “Europe and the World” (in Sofia), as well as a summer program “The Idea of Europe and Its Borders in Social Sciences and the Humanities” to be held at the Black Sea’s cost in Kiten (more info here: www.euromec.eu). Students may also pursue their own research agenda, under the guidance of professors from the Jean Monnet community at Sofia University. This is an exiting opportunity to spend time and travel in the region or work on a research project, while honing your intellectual preparedness to participate in the scholarship of Europe.
The Erasmus + Program Grant covers both travel and accommodation through a monthly allowance, determined by the European Commission. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic achievements, as well as proven interest in the region.
