The University of Florida’s Center for European Studies will be awarding Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships for summer 2024 and AY 24–25
These fellowships are funded by the US Department of Education under Title VI of the Higher Education Act. Fellowships are awarded to graduate and undergraduate students to study a European language and to take European area studies courses.
Applicants are encouraged to attend a FLAS info session or schedule a one-on-one meeting with the FLAS coordinator. A schedule of FLAS info sessions is available on the main CES FLAS page and on the CES events page.
Students applying for an academic year fellowship and for a summer intensive language fellowship must submit two separate applications. Students from all University of Florida colleges are encouraged to apply. Only US citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply.
