Jean Monnet Chair Student Travel

Application Deadline: Rolling

The Center for European Studies accepts applications on a rolling basis for our Jean Monnet Chair Student Travel Award. The award provides funding for students pursuing EU-related research (undergraduate & graduate) to participate in academic workshops and conferences.

CES will award grants up to $500 to assist students with travel, housing, and registration costs. The CES encourages applicants to seek matching funds from other sources, including their department or college.

These grants are open to all UF students, regardless of discipline.

How to Apply

Proposals must be received at least 2 weeks before your proposed travel.

Proposals should include:

  • Grant Application Form
  • Copy of the invitation or acceptance letter from the conference or workshop
  • Conference paper abstract (maximum 250 words)
  • A description of the purpose of the proposed trip (1-2 pages)
  • A budget including travel, housing, registration fees, other costs
