Carla received a BA in History with a concentration in 20th Century German History and a German minor from Centre College. She received an MA in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies with a concentration in International Education from Loyola University Chicago. She studied abroad in Strasbourg, France and Rome, Italy. Carla has worked in higher education for 11 years in first-year student transition, orientation, student affairs, and academic affairs. Outside of work, she’s a pet mom. She loves to read, travel, and anything Disney.

Carla is responsible for all grant related talks, symposia, workshops, and conferences. She tracks all CES organized and co-sponsored events as well as all non-CES supported events on campus related to Europe and European studies. Carla manages the CES lunchtime symposia, the CES Speakers’ Series, and new and continued collaborative activities. She develops all CES related publications, posters, website, and social media. Carla manages all off-campus outreach activities.
