The Rise of European Populism

Participants will be discussing the causes and consequences of the rise of populist political parties of the right and left in Greece, Eastern Europe, and Turkey. Presentations will be followed by a discussion of the similarities and differences between these cases and the impact of this trend for the individual cases and the European Union as a whole, as well as, links to broader global trends in populist movements.
