The Center for European Studies is committed to providing our students with opportunities to learn about graduate schools, fellowships, careers, and industries with a European, and broader international, scope. The Center hosts numerous events for students including alumni conversations, the CES Career Speaker Series, and collaborative events with the UF Career Connections Center. CES Alumni Conversations
CES degree and study abroad alumni have gone onto careers in foreign service, federal government, think tanks, academia, business, and law, to name a few. The alumni conversation series offers a platform for former CES students to talk with current students about their academic path, careers, and advice for choosing the next step after graduation.
CES Career Speaker Series
The Career Speaker Series hosts professionals in various industries to talk with CES and any interested students about their industry, the types of jobs available, skills, and their own personal paths to their careers. All the speakers work directly in a Europe-related field. The series hosts speakers aimed at students pursuing BA/BS and those pursuing graduate degrees.
Other Career Events
The Center for European studies collaborates with other partners on campus to bring professional development opportunities to UF students. Partners include the UF Career Connections Center, UF International Center, and the CLAS Beyond 120.
