Emily is the Outreach Coordinator for the Center for European studies. Her responsibilities include campus and community engagement for CES activities. She has spent the last eight years developing and maintaining community partnerships for a healthcare facility in South Georgia, and is passionate about making an impact in her community. As an advocate for mental health awareness, she helped raised money to open the Valdosta, Georgia chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), which was officially established in 2024. Because of her work in her community, Emily was nominated for the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce’s Valdosta Young Professional of the Year Award in 2020 and 2021.
Emily obtained her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Toccoa Falls College, where she developed a love for working in higher education. Because she considers herself a lifelong learner, Emily spends her free time reading and learning new hobbies when she isn’t spending time with her family. As a Knoxville, Tennessee native, she travels to East Tennessee often to visit family and enjoy time in the mountains.
