Imanol Suárez-Palma holds MA degrees in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (University of Oviedo, Spain) and in Hispanic Studies and Comparative Literature (University of Kent, UK). He obtained his PhD in Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Arizona, where he specialized in syntactic theory and second language acquisition and teaching. While his research focuses on the morphosyntax of Spanish, he has worked extensively on analyzing linguistic phenomena from minority languages spoken in Spain, including Asturian, Catalan and Basque.
