Speaker Bio:

Robin S Brooks, Ph.D., is currently the Human Rights Chief in the State Department’s Bureau of International Organization Affairs. A Foreign Service Officer since 2004, she has also served at the U.S. Embassies in Moscow, Sofia, and Ankara, at the U.S. Mission to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan. In these roles, she has worked on humanitarian and civilian assistance, refugee resettlement, economic development and commercial affairs, consular affairs, and multilateral human rights diplomacy. She has also taught Political Science and International Relations at several universities in the United States and Bulgaria.
