Greece During WWII

Although ancient Greek civilization and culture have been studied extensively, many overlook the significance of modern Greece and its contemporary role. This is a broad interdisciplinary course designed to introduce students to the different aspects of the Greek political and historical reality during WWII and its aftermath. The course does not require pre-existing knowledge regarding Greece. It focuses on Greek history as well as on elements pertaining to political ideologies, social transformations and cultural movements that took place at that very difficult period for the Greek nation.
