CLASSROOM PROGRAMS

CES students, faculty, and staff are happy to talk about their country’s heritage and culture to elementary, middle, and high school students.
The hands-on, interactive approach reaches the children in a way that studying from a book cannot.

Traveling Suitcases

Discover the culture, history, and people of Europe in your classroom! The traveling suitcases are a cultivated collection of books, newspapers, toys, music, activity kits, and other national symbols centered around thematic areas. Engage with your students using hands-on artifacts and activities in one of the following thematic areas:

  • European Women in Power – From Curie to Coco
  • European Music – All that Jazz

Educators may request a suitcase at no charge, and the Center will cover all shipping costs. CES also offers funding for teachers to create lesson plans based on materials found in the suitcase that can be shared with other educators.
