Program Dates

Summer A: May 11 – June 19, 2022

UF at Salzburg offers programs in Music and European Studies and is open to all majors. Music majors and minors may take private lessons, music history and/or arranging. The European Studies program provides major credit for History and Political Science majors.

Salzburg is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. With a population of about 150,000, Salzburg is situated in the heart of Europe on the northern edge of the eastern Alps right at the Austrian-German border. Surrounded by picturesque mountains, the city still mirrors in its historical center – a declared UNESCO World Heritage Site – more than a thousand years of European history and culture. Its rich and vibrant cultural heritage is reflected in concerts, festivals and a great variety of events throughout the year. Excursions include a 4-day trip to Munich including hotel stay, breakfast, and events; 4-day trip to Vienna, guided walking tours, palace tours, Mauthausen Concentration Camp, and a daytrip to Salzkammergut lake region.

Housing

Students are housed in dormitories. Breakfast and dinner are taken at the dorms, lunch is at a local eatery. Meals are included in the program cost.

Program Fees

2022 Pricing:

  • For European Studies – $6,630
  • For Music – $7,300
  • For Business – $6,630

Fee includes: Tuition for 6 UF credits, dorm stay including breakfast and dinner daily, daily lunch at a local eatery, local excursions, four-day trip to Vienna, 4-day trip to Munich, orientation, international health insurance, and medical emergency assistance.

Fee does NOT include: Roundtrip airfare, textbooks, optional additional trips, additional personal travel and personal expenses.

A $350 non-refundable deposit toward the total cost of the program is required at the time of application. The remaining fees are due no later than 45 days prior to departure. Students receiving financial aid may defer payment until their financial aid disperses.
