Czech Studies
Founded at UF in 2005, the program offers an innovative curriculum of courses in Czech language and culture. The program places a special emphasis on contemporary Czech culture and society with coursework focused on the 20th and 21st century Czech Republic.
Hungarian Studies
The Hungarian Studies program was established in 2004. The program is one of only a handful of Hungarian language programs in the United States, and the only program in Florida. Hungarian studies offers language courses through the advanced level and area studies classes in history, culture, and economics.
Polish Studies
Established in 2004, the Polish Studies program offers students a range of classes on contemporary culture, history, and politics. UF is one of the only universities in the southeast region to offer Polish, and language courses are available on campus and online.
Turkish Studies
The Turkish Studies program provides an interdisciplinary area studies and language program that encourages students and the general public to increase their knowledge and understanding of Turkey and the Turkish language. The Center supports language coursework through the advanced level and area studies classes on modern Turkish history and politics.
