The UF Center for European Studies (CES) announces a competition for Faculty Travel Grants.The CES will award multiple grants of up to $1,500 each to assist UF faculty with travel to Europe to pursue research, course development, course enhancement, or to present work at a scholarly conference or workshop. These grants are open to all UF faculty regardless of discipline or rank. The subject of the research or talk must be related to contemporary Europe or European Studies. Priority will be given to junior faculty members and proposals from faculty in non-traditional fields and the professional schools. The CES requests that applicants look for matching funds from their department, college, and external sources.
Applications will be reviewed once a month at the end of the month. CES suggests applying at least 6-8 weeks in advance of travel to ensure review before travel dates.
How to Apply
Proposals should include:
- A description of the purpose of the proposed trip (1-2 pages)
- A detailed budget that includes estimates of all travel costs
- A current CV of the applicant (abbreviated CVs encouraged)
- A copy of the invitation or acceptance letter (where appropriate)
