Call for Proposals

Deadline: November 21st, 2025

The Center for European Studies (CES) is pleased to announce a call for conferences, workshops or public events that relate to the study of contemporary Europe in the spring of 2026. CES European Studies Working Group Grant supports small groups of faculty working with graduate students that represent at least two academic units. CES will award grants up to $7,500 per proposal.

Application GUIDELINES
Application guidelines. 

Submit your proposal in a single document, pdf format and include the following information:

• Proposal title
• Dates and tentative location of the event at UF
• Contact information for the lead applicant (email)
• Names of at least two faculty applicants from two different units at UF and their institutional affiliations at UF (centers, departments, schools)
• Name of at least one graduate student and student’s institutional affiliation at UF
• Proposal narrative (one page maximum)
• Budget (flight, hotel, venue rental, honorarium, etc.)
