In collaboration with the UF International Center, this program provides an opportunity for UF faculty to take undergraduate students to their international field site for students to participate in their primary research project abroad.
Funding: Up to $6,000
Eligibility:
- Full time faculty (Adjuncts and visiting faculty are not eligible)
- Research project focuses on Europe, European Union, or European Studies
- Accompanying 2-3 undergraduate students to the proposed international destination for an approximate one to three-week research experience.
Application requirements:
- Cover page
- Proposal – 1–2-page proposal, outlining faculty qualifications and experience at the proposed research site; the anticipated research project; and how the accompanying students would be involved. The proposal should also outline proposed activities and the benefit to student learning and explain how this experience would be different from a traditional study abroad experience.
- Budget – detailing expected travel costs, such as airfare, accommodation, and per diem.

- Upon return, students must submit a comprehensive trip report that details their activity, research goals, the collaborative experience and how the research contributes to the development of scholarly output.
- Faculty must also submit a short report that highlights the achievements and potential partnerships going forward.
