Call for Proposals

CES Conference and workshop Grants (Spring 2025)

The Center for European Studies (CES) is pleased to announce a call for in-person or hybrid conferences, workshops or public events that relate to the study of contemporary Europe in the spring of 2025. CES European Studies Working Group Grant supports small groups of faculty working with graduate students that represent at least two academic units. CES will award grants in the range of $2,000 – $5,000 per proposal.

Application GUIDELINES
Application guidelines. 

Submit your proposal in a single document, pdf format and include the following information:

  • Proposal title
  • Dates and tentative location of the event at UF
  • Contact information for the lead applicant (email)
  • Names of at least two faculty applicants from two different units at UF and their institutional affiliations at UF (centers, departments, schools)
  • Name of at least one graduate student and student’s institutional affiliation at UF
  • Proposal narrative (one page maximum)
  • Budget (flight, hotel, venue rental, honorarium, etc.)
  • Names of participants or working groups/research clusters involved (optional)
  • Co-sponsors (optional)
